Do you love to walk? Do you really love to walk? If so, Oxfam Trailwalker was made for you! Each year Oxfam Trailwalker takes place in over 15 countries as teams of four commit to walking 100 km in 48 hours in an effort to fight global poverty. This year in Canada, Oxfam Trailwalker will be taking place July 13 – 15 on the Ganaraska trail. Teams of four will begin the 100 km journey in Wasaga Beach and working together they will walk all the way to Midland to cross the finish line.

I think the Oxfam Trailwalker sounds like so much fun, and it’s a challenge that doesn’t require enormous physical prowess or a commitment of several hours per week of training. Three years ago, early in my second pregnancy, I planned to join the Oxfam Trailwalker with my hubby. Then, I broke my foot. This spring, Oxfam asked me to form a team and join the Trailwalker and I was so excited to get involved. Then, I broke my foot again. Next year, nothing can stop me.

With over 60 million dollars raised since the Oxfam Trailwalker’s inception 31 years ago, every team involved worldwide is committed to changing the world, one step at a time.
