Natalie joined the Trinity Bellwoods BB location 6 months ago when she realized her physical strength wasn't keeping up with son's increasing size and she's been a regular fixture ever since, and a hard worker all along! She deserves an attendance award but we don't do that. So we nominated her for the MOTW instead! High fives, Natalie!

What brought you to BB? How long did you train?

I signed up for BB after going to a workshop & then a free class through the Meetup group. I was six months postpartum, badly out of shape and really needed a push to get going. I've been going to BB since March. The biggest goal I had was to improve my strength - my son was growing and I was in serious need of more upper body strength!

What results have you experienced?

The immediate result was a huge energy boost, which was so great as I was (am) pretty sleep-deprived! It also really helped my mood. Before long, I was finding it easier to carry my son and had less back stiffness at the end of the day. I feel stronger and fitter than I have in years!

How do you stay active outside of BB?

Walking, yoga, random exercises at home.

What is your #1 fitness goal now?

To up my strength training to 2 hours/week.

I like jump squats, and plank.

Exercise you want to punch in the face?

Step-ups on the wall at the park.

Last splurge food or drink?

Fish & chips. I'm also a fan of splurging a bit every day (on dark chocolate).
