mommy of the week: adrienne a.



Meet Adrienne from our Beach location! Adrienne is a two-time Belly Bootcamper, having trained with us after both of her babies were born. She knows all of our tricks but still manages to keep a smile on her face (like she hasn't heard the words "just five more reps!" sixteen thousand times by now). Adrienne is a quiet force to be reckoned with, and we are just hoping she tries for baby #3 so we can train her again. Thanks, Adrienne!


What brought you to BB? How long did you train?

I won 5 free classes through a Mommy Connections group after my first daughter was born. At first I had wished I'd won a spa day instead! Needless to say, I ended up loving the classes so much that I signed up for more right away. After having my second baby, I've returned and am currently taking classes twice a week.

What results have you experienced?

I am in much better shape than I was before having my babies I have lost my baby weight and rediscovered definition!

In addition to the physical results, I must say that the mental and emotional benefits are what keep me coming back. I love feeling strong, healthy and confident. There is also a great sense of camaraderie amongst the moms. A lot of shared laughter and four-letter words!

How do you stay active outside of BB?

I try to get out walking as often as I can. Playing with the kids can feel like a workout as well.

What is your #1 fitness goal now?

I'm heading back to work soon, which means it will be harder to find time to exercise. I would like to maintain my current fitness level and use all of the tools I've learned to keep a lifelong healthy and active lifestyle.

Fave healthy food?

I love a good salad. Chock full of fresh vegetables, maybe some nuts, and cheese. Does that still make it healthy? (Yes, Adrienne!)

Fave BB exercise?

I I like anything to do with the arms, like the squat & row exercise. Although I have a love/hate relationship with working the tricep area. We all want toned triceps, but for me, they're pretty painful to workout!

Exercise you want to punch in the face?

There are a few, but I would have to say the dreaded Wall Sit. So simple, yet brings me to my knees. Or falling on my butt!

Last splurge food or drink?

I just got back from a girl's trip to Chicago and the whole trip was a splurge. There was a definite recurring theme of cheese... and wine!
