I’m very happy to be a member of the Parent Tested, Parent Approved (PTPA) community. I began contributing to their Blogaholics site as the resident fitness blogger since September 2009, and I’ve also had the privilege of testing a few products as a member of their community.
PTPA, in case you haven’t heard, is the coolest new seal-of-approval in the world of baby, kids and family products. Companies submit their services and products for review by real mommies & daddies (like me) and samples of their products are distributed to PTPA testers for review. I’ve reviewed everything from compostable kids’ dinnerware to a breastmilk pumping bra to fitness-inspired picture books for my kids. There are all kinds of products imaginable – literally anything you could use as a family: vitamins, first aid gear, clothing, classes, websites, games, books… the list goes on. Once a product has been sampled and reviewed at length by several PTPA testers, it is either approved or disapproved. If approved, that company has the advantage of placing the Parent Tested, Parent Approved seal on their packaging & marketing so savvy shoppers like us can see the item has already been tried, reviewed & approved by our fellow parents.
